incorrect

no, you are incorrect.

Well, that can happen. I've been making songs for 4 years and lately trying to upload some decent work, people doesn't seem to like it as much as before. Maybe I got too generic when I struggled to 'improve'. My worst part about producing is the arrangement and mixing, so that doesn't make me enjoy producing like before.

Yeah mixing is the main problem I have. I find it hard to master that skill and it's the most important part about making a song sound good.

You're too hard on yourself man. I think you just have a high aim. There's all kinds of music and some are easier to make than others.

@Ryzmik @AstroGalaxy mixing isnt the most important part about a song, everything plays a role, the whole process of production like your arrangement, sound usage and uh whatever else there is makes a song good or bad. If your song has trash arrangement and sounds, a good mix wont help it. Its as if you were polishing your own poop - in the end it still is poop. Now im not saying mixing isnt important but its definitely not as important as everyone always makes it out to be.

Also you should be less harsh on yourself. there are some people out there that enjoy your music the way it is, doesnt matter how "bad" your song is. Nobody is perfect from the beginning and your favorite producers were probably equally as unexperienced as you at the start. It takes years to get good at and even more if you arent aware of your skill and have a negative opinion towards yourself. Trying to look at it positively would be the best bet and yes i know its way easier said than done but it definitely is worth it.

Another thing i would recommend is to experiment more. I found myself trapped in a loop of making the same thing over and over again. At some point in time you will get bored of the current genre you are making. So if you find yourself in a similar situation just try to do something completely different and dont have your mind fixated towards making an entire track.

also yeah ik thisis from last year but idc :D!
