yo what this is actually so good!!!! i would love to hear more glitch hop from you :D (and i remember u from mitkits collab back in 2017 lol)

(Edit: I'm thinking of making a level with this song, I'd love to show you progress if I have some - do you have discord or anything?)

H20ghost responds:

Oh man, I am surprised you remembered that! I don't play Geometry Dash as often as before, however, I do check on it from time to time lmao. Looking back, Mitkit was unbelievably good at level design!!! I remember your name as well, Mitkit showed me some of your levels and I thought they were really amazing. Creating levels has become too difficult for me so now I just compose instead

what a hit! keep doing what ur doing my man!

sorry i dont like this..

EverythingYouWish responds:

Hello!
You don't have to like this, but can you please expand on why?
Constructive criticism is vital to me in order to produce better music! I would love to hear what do you think I did that could have been done better, and if you have the insight, how do you think I could have done it instead? This type of comment helps me much more in creating something else that you and others might like, so if you have the time I would love to see you share your perspective!

bro your sound design is perfect and diverse as fuck...... ill never stop loving your music. this one gives me 2018 complextro vibes !!!

i remember u xD

The melodies feel disjointed and I can't remember them. I recommend going simpler

you support yourself on patreon? XD

Zoftle responds:

no thats actually someone else

oh what.. dude that synth aaaaagh its lovely

lovely bro

I'm sorry but I'm gonna be completely honest. There's lots of things wrong with this. The chord progression feels weird, and the melodies are unmemorable to me. I just have no idea what I am listening to. Please work on your sound designing your synths because they just sound like saw waves with no effects. The drop's plucks/fills are alright but the chord stacks sound heavily compressed, and there is also no mid bass or sub to support the stacks. I just hear saw waves drowned in reverb and compressor. Try taking inspiration from other melodic dubstep songs because that's how I got an idea of exactly what I wanted to aim for. Might help you if you do the same. Focus on arrangement, composition, and making simple but memorable melodies. And make sure to develop your sound design and make sure you're not just placing sounds just for the sake of placing sounds. My bad if I'm a bit harsh!! Pls don't take it personally lol

And keep in mind - you should be proud of your work (everyone should), but don't feel too attached to what you make. Always seek improvement.

Axsou responds:

yeah I get it, It is difficult for me to make something decent in Garageband ios, very limiting.
In terms of bass and sub bass, I can't figure out how to mix it in without it being too quite or overtaking the song. garageband makes it hard to have progressive effects and I can't tell how compressor works yet. thanks for the feedback
